Timmy Steinbeck - February 13, 2009

On Jan. 31, 1975 Timmy Lee Steinbeck was born at 2:25 a.m. He was 19 1/2 inches long and weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces. From the very start he had to fight to stay with us as he was born six weeks early. Though life kept giving him lemons he had done his best to make lemonade.
He and his brother, Tommy, were always close. When life got tough, they always had each other. They were more like friends than brothers. He was on the football and basketball teams in junior high. If it had to do with a sport he was usually involved.
Tim worked at various jobs and always did well in almost everything he put his mind to do. He worked the pistachio groves and moving business in Barstow, Calif. He also drove truck and was a machinist in Nevada, Mo. In Illinois he drafted maps.
In 1998 he married LeeAnn Gibson and to this union were born two beautiful children, Kortney Marie and Seth Torrance. They were his shining pride. Whenever you saw him with them you knew he loved them more than anything on the planet.
He worked almost all the service lines at J-W. His most recent job was a driller for them. He could usually be found on his 4-wheeler or dirt bike somewhere on the prairie. He was also in a pool league. He liked hanging out with his family and friends.
On Feb. 13, 2009, due to a tragic accident God called Tim home. He will be missed by all who knew him as he touched so many lives. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, give a hug or just flash that winning smile. He will be watching us from above and will always remain in our hearts. He will be with those who preceded him to Heaven including his grandparents Bill and Gloria Baker, cousin Danny Jo Jussel and great grandmother Pearl Myers and various other family members.
He will be watching over his wife Leslie LeeAnn Steinbeck; children Kortney Marie and Seth Torrance. He is also survived by his brother, Tom Steinbeck and Cynthia Rosales, Father Gary Steinbeck and wife Linda; mother and stepfather Laura and LaVern Smith; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009 at the First Christian Church in Wray, Colo., with Rev Steve Wynkoop officiating. Interment was in the Haigler Cemetery, Haigler, Neb.
Memorials may be made to the Tim L. Steinbeck Memorial Fund, C/O Wray State Bank, P.O. Box 277, Wray, CO 80758.
