There were still a few seats open Monday for the Chase County Community Hospital Foundation’s 2016 Gala, scheduled for March 12.
Proceeds from the formal affair will be applied to the purchase of a new 3D digital mammography machine. The present machine expires next December, meaning that new parts and insurance cannot be acquired.
A new machine can cost $436,000, including training, according to Deb Hrcka, assistant executive director of the Foundation.
She said BWTelcom will donate $25,000 towards the purchase if the Foundation can raise $50,000 by Nov. 1.
The Gala, “Throw in the Green for a Mammography Machine,” will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. at the new Chase County Expo Building on the fairgrounds in Imperial.
Tickets are $125 per person or $1,000 for a table of eight. Hrcka said the Foundation is planning on 150 attending the event.
Tickets may still be purchased by contacting Hrcka at 308-882-7290.
