A Wauneta man was arrested on Tuesday, May 5. Chase County Sheriff’s Deputy Spencer Rowley along with Joe Pearce, District 11 Probation Officer, went to the Wauneta home of Adam D. Crapson, 19, on May 5 to do a probation search.
During the search an electronic device was retrieved. According to Deputy Rowley, possession of the device was a violation of his probation.
Crapson was placed under arrest and transported to the Chase County Jail in Imperial.
He was charged with Violation of Probation. Bond has been set at $10,000 or 10 percent. As of Tuesday afternoon bond had not been posted.
Crapson was serving probation for a July 2014 conviction of Possession of Visual Depiction of Sexually Explicit Conduct, a Class IV felony, in the Scotts Bluff County District Court. The Nebraska State Patrol Sex Offender Registry lists the victim of his crime as a minor.
According to Deputy Rowley, with the new violation he now could face the maximum sentence of his original conviction, up to five years imprisonment.
