Graduation begins at
Commencement ceremonies for the 2014 graduating class of Wauneta-Palisade High School will be this Saturday, May 17 at 10:30 a.m. MT/11:30 a.m. CT at the Wauneta Attendance Center.
Valedictorian Tailor Lee and salutatorian Jasmyn Smith will speak, as will class president Hayden Pollmann. Aaron Keiser will be the guest speaker. Keiser is a 2004 WP graduate.
Juniors Lesley Towery and Nicole Strand will be the junior marshals. Sydnee Harchelroad, Brianna Einspahr, Leiauna Alberts and Christi Christner will be junior ushers.
Class colors for the seniors are red and navy with the class flower being the ranunculus. The class song is “Love” by American Authors.
A quote by Frederick Speakman is the class motto: “The roads we take are more important than the goals we announce. Decisions determine destiny.”
The seniors’ last day was Monday.
