|Palisade resident dies in car accident|

Edward Johnson of Palisade was killed in a single vehicle accident Saturday night.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, Johnson was westbound about a quarter mile east of Palisade on Highway 6 when his car struck a deer shortly after 9:00 p.m. CT. Johnson lost control of the vehicle which rolled and ended up on its top in the south ditch.
Johnson, 64, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He is survived by his wife, Becki, of Palisade; sons, Benji Harrison of McCook, Nebraska, Andrew Harrison and wife, Rebecca, of Thorton, Colorado and Kevin Harrison and Jessica Mowrer of Longmont, Colorado; sister, Kathy and Jim Fickle of Bartley, Nebraska and two grandchildren.
Funeral services are Thursday, April 25, 2013, 2 p.m. (CT) at the Hamlet Union Church, Hamlet, Nebraska, with the Rev. Joshua Clark officiating. A private family inurnment will be at Palisade cemetery at a later date.
