Applications for 2013-2014 Nebraska Press Association scholarships are available at the Wauneta Breeze office.
Scholarships are available for both current college students and high school seniors.
This year the NPS Foundation will be offering up to four scholarships of $2,000 each.
Students may also find copies of the applications at the NPA website: www.nebpress.com/.
Applications must be in the hands of the committee no later than Feb. 22, 2013.
The scholarships will be given to students with a specific interest in news, editorial, photography, circulation, production, or advertising careers on weekly, semi-weekly, or daily newspapers. The Nebraska-based educational institution involved must offer a curriculum which provides the necessary education so a student graduating from the program is qualified for at least an entry level position in print journalism.
