The Wauneta-Palisade volleyball team brought home third place from the Brady Invitational Saturday. The Wauneta-Palisade volleyball team has raised its record to 8-7 with a busy week of matches.

The Lady Broncos opened the week with a trip to Paxton where they took on Potter-Dix and the host squad.

The Lady Broncos were swept by 11-3 Paxton 25-17, 25-12 to start the evening.

Tailor Lee paced the team with six kills, Abbie Fanning added four. Emma Skelton and Sydnee Harchelroad had seven and six assists, respectively.

After Potter-Dix won the first set 27-25, Wauneta-Palisade bounced back to pick up 25-22 and 25-15 wins in the second and third sets of the final match.

Lee and Harchelroad led the team with four and three kills, respectively. Skelton had seven assists and Cassidy Rathe had two service aces. Brooklyn Nordhausen had three solo blocks.

Thursday the team headed to Hayes Center (2-8) looking to avenge a loss from Sept. 8.

Wauneta-Palisade swept the Cardinals 25-13, 25-11, 25-15.

Harchelroad hit .450 with nine kills. Lee notched six kills, Fanning and Nordhausen each added five kills. Nordhausen hit .400. Skelton had 17 assists.

Lee and Einspahr had three services aces each.

The Lady Broncos wrapped up the week Saturday with three games at the Brady Invite.

Stats were unavailable for the opening match of the tournament, a 25-27 27-25 25-14 defeat of Maxwell.

Wauneta-Palisade was then topped 10-25, 27-25, 20-25 by 11-4 Mullen.

Lee once again led the team with eight kills. Harchelroad had four service aces.

The team brought home the third place plaque with a 25-15, 23-25, 25-20 win over South Loup.

Harchelroad had 10 kills and three service aces. Lee had seven kills. Skelton had 11 assists. Nordhausen had four solo blocks. Lee and Fanning each had two solo kills.

The Lady Bronocs will host a triangular with Dundy County-Stratton and Maywood Oct. 4.
