The Wauneta-Palisade volleyball team continued its busy season last week with games at Southwest Tuesday, at home against Chase County Thursday and at Arthur County Friday.
The Lady Bronco fell to RPAC foe Southwest 25-16, 25-11, 25-15.
Sydnee Harchelroad and Tailor Lee led the Lady Bronco attack. Harchelroad had seven kills and Lee added six.
Harchelroad also had two aces.
Abbie Fanning and Emma Skelton each had two solo blocks.
Wauneta-Palisade put up a better show two days later against C-1 Chase County (7-3), but still fell 20-25, 21-25, 15-25.
Harchelroad reached double-digits in the kill department with 10.
Skelton led the team with three aces and 12 assists.
Following the Thursday night Chase County match, the Lady Broncos left mid-morning Friday to head to Arthur County.
Despite the long drive and playing after the Wauneta-Palisade/Arthur County football game, the team responded with a 25-11, 25-14, 25-15 sweep.
All 15 players played against Arthur County.
Harchelroad had 11 kills. Fanning and Brooklyn Nordhausen had each added four.
Harchelroad had five aces, Lee and Skelton had three each.
Fanning had two solo blocks.
“Arthur County was not a bad team,” said coach Michelle Harchelroad. “The girls got the job done.”
The JV team defeated Southwest 25-19 and 25-23 then lost to Chase County 12-25 and 24-26.
Scores were not available for the two game sweep of Arthur County.
