The Wauneta Breeze

With the hardwoods ready and time to break out the knee pads, Bronco volleyball is here with Coach Michelle Harchelroad starting her fifth season with new assistant coach Janessa Wood.

Opening last year with St. Francis, they fell in three straight sets. This could be considered a rebuilding year. The Broncos have just three returning letter winners from last year’s 8-15 team.

Returning vets are seniors 5’9” Sheyla Christner and 5’7” Jonee Maris, and 5’8” sophomore Tailor Lee. Other varsity level players contributing will be 5’5” junior Emma Skelton, 5’11” sophomore Brooklyn Nordhausen and 5’7” sophomore Abbie Fanning; 5’4” junior Tayler Nordhausen, 5’4” freshman 5’4” Brianna Einspahr and 5’5” freshman Sydnee Harchelroad.

The schedule is a mix of six home games and six away games, four invites and RPAC tourney on Oct. 17-18, D2-10 Sub-District tournament Oct. 31-Nov. 1 and District finals Nov. 3-4.
