Girls softball Tuesday, June 7
Head to the Wauneta softball diamond next week to catch a trio of home games for the WP girls. Action starts at 6 p.m. MT/7 p.m. CT when the C-Team hosts Atwood. A double header for the B-Team will follow immediately after the C game, with Wau-Pal hosting Imperial and Atwood. Boys baseball tomorrow (Friday)
The Wauneta-Palisade 4th, 5th and 6th grade baseball team hosts St. Francis, Kan., at 6:30 p.m. MT/7:30 p.m. CT. Come down to the ballpark to see ‘em play ball.
Boys baseball Monday, June 6
The WP 4th, 5th and 6th grade ballclub hits the road for its first road trip of the year when they head to Atwood, Kan. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m. MT/7:30 p.m. CT.
Pool season is officially here
The Wauneta Municipal Swimming Pool is now open. Regular pool hours are as follows: Monday through Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. MT and Sunday 1 to 4 p.m. MT; mornings Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. MT for lap swimming; afternoons Monday through Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. for water aerobics. Night swimming is offered every week on Wednesday nights from 7 to 9 p.m. MT. Admission rates for the pool are $3 daily for adults and children. Babies get in free. Season passes are $50 per person or $100 for a family of four — each additional family member costs $10. Season passes for lap swimming or water aerobics are $35 per person. Slice for Life 4-person scramble coming up
Make sure to register your team for one of the first contests of the summer at Enders Golf Course. Call Randy Vlasin at 308-882-7379 before June 10 to secure your spot on the greens. Actual event takes place Saturday, June 25 with a 10:30 a.m. MT shotgun start. Registration cost is $300 per team or $75 per golfer.
