Doane College recently announced 2011 high-school graduates who were offered Doane College scholarships in recognition of superior academic performance.

Chris Bartels and Colby Skelton, graduating seniors at Wauneta-Palisade High School, have been named recipients of Doane College Board of Trustees Scholarships.

The Board of Trustees Scholarship award is valued at $9,000 per year. It is awarded to incoming students with a minimum ACT score of 28 and a core high-school GPA of 3.4.

Bartels is the son of Stuart and Kathleen Bartels of Wauneta.

Skelton is the son of Troy and Evelyn Skelton, also of Wauneta.
