4-H members who plan to exhibit horses in the 4-H Program this year must identify all horses they plan on showing and using in competition on proper identification forms and return to the Extension Office by May 13th. ID sheets may be picked up at the Extension Office or found on the web at http://4h.unl.edu/web/4hcurriculum/horse. Look for F29777 Horse Affidavit.
May 13 is also the deadline for all entries for the 4-H District and State Horse Shows. Registration forms and information may be obtained at the Extension Office or http://horse.unl.edu. Click on 4-H & Youth and then District & State 4-H Horse Shows. All required level testing must be completed by this date to be eligible to compete.
This year the closest District 4-H Horse Show is scheduled for June 22 in Ogallala. You may attend another show if this date does not work into your schedule. The State 4-H Horse Show will be held July 11-15 in Grand Island at Fonner Park.
