Southwest Public Power District announced this week that Curtis Kayton has been named as the new manager at SWPPD. Kayton will take over management duties in July when current manager Don Suda retires after 42 years of service at SWPPD.
Kayton and his wife, Shelly, are no strangers to the southwest Nebraska community, having lived in Palisade with their two sons, Tyler and Connor, prior to moving to pursue other career opportunities four years ago. Kayton was employed with Lyon Coffey Electric in Kansas and for the past couple of years with IES Commercial Inc. in Holdrege as project manager.
