Several members from Chase County who are part of the 2019 Cattlemen’s Ball Committee toured the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center in Omaha recently to see firsthand what their fundraising efforts will continue to do. The “Ball,” in its 22nd annual year, will be held June 7-8 near Enders Reservoir. The group on the tour included, from left, Rusty and Dixi Wellman; Mick and Marlene Cox; Char Wallin; Sharon and Dr. Bob Rhoades; Kati Ladenburger; Julie and Shawn Jones; Wayne and Chris Krausnick, Ball co-hosts; Allison and Derek Sandman, Ball co-hosts; and Dr. Kenneth Cowan, director of the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.
The daunting yet rewarding task to “Round Up a Cure” for cancer research became very real recently for members of the 2019 Cattlemen’s Ball Committee from Chase County.
