Wrestlers place two at RPAC meet, Hoskovec finishes third

Despite illness and injuries holding out part of the team, two of the four Wauneta-Palisade wrestlers who took to the mats placed at the RPAC meet in Maxwell Saturday.
WP Coach Danny Schluckebier said the four were rested up and motivated for the long, hard day.
Colby Hoskovec finished third at 106 pounds. After pinning his first two pool opponents, Hoskovec was pinned in his final pool match. Seeded into the championship bracket, Hoskovec lost his first match then received medical forfeit in the third-place match.
After a disappointing meet last week, Hunter Miner looked to turn up the intensity and bounce back at Maxwell. Miner lost his first two matches in 120 pound’s pool B, but bounced back to win his final pool match. Miner then went on to win the  fifth place match by pin.
Evan Nordhausen has battled shoulder issues for much of the season but felt ready to go Saturday. Also at 120 pounds but in pool A, Nordhausen lost his first three matches, then received a medical forfeit before making a medical forfeit.
