Broncos make move back to 6-Man football

For the first time since 2015, the Wauneta-Palisade football team will be playing 6-Man football.
Bronco Co-Head Coach Joseph Frecks said the change is going well.
“The kids have picked up on the rule changes quickly, and we are excited for a different kind of challenge back in 6-man,” he said.
With eight returning letter winners, Frecks said the coaches, including Co-Head Coach Randy Geier, feel like they have a strong core of players with experience that will help the team be very competitive this year.
The Broncos have the team’s only senior, quarterback Braxton McKinney, back to lead the offense.
Frecks said McKinney has stepped up as a positive lead on the field.
Junior Grant Walker, Aidan Kennicutt and Trace Bley also saw action in each game last season. Frecks called the group the strength of the team.
Other letter winners are sophomores Ethan Carl, Kyle Jutten and Michael Duvel, and junior Colby Hoskovec.
