Wauneta-Palisade Schools elementary students Jacob Blackman and Erika Rahn may only be fourth graders, but both can now add published author on their repertoire. In the 2016-2018 school year both students’ third grade teacher Stephanie Malcolm had the class enter a poetry competition. The entire class sent in their pieces, and only two were published through the America Library of Poetry Contest. The book Treasured was released in September.
