Wauneta-Palisade Schools’ high school choir performed for the community at the Chateau Theatre Oct. 12. Three choir pieces and ten solo pieces were performed all featuring songs in the pop genre. The solo pieces included several instrumental performances, and students accompanied songs. Choir director Aaron Behrends and accompanist Sara Behrends decided to try out a pop concert to give students something to work on during the slow fall/winter months. S. Behrends noted that both her and A. Behrends were happy with the performance and, for its intended purpose, thought it was a success. There were approximately 35 people in attendance, and the Behrends plan on having a pop concert next year.
