Phillips County Raceway season opens March 25

Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke will open the season for all Colorado IMCA stock car racing venues Saturday, March 25, at 5 p.m.
Racers vie for IMCA national points for the season at various racetracks. In Colorado, the first opportunity to earn points this season is at Phillips County Raceway’s season opener.
With the recent Phillips/Logan County fire and the boys state basketball championship — Holyoke in 2A and Sterling in 3A — Raceway organizer Joe Bellm of BST Promotions wants to acknowledge the volunteers, as well as basketball teams.
As a result, free admission to the March 25 races will be offered to all volunteers for the March 6 fire including firefighters, first responders and more, and to all team members and coaches on the Holyoke Dragons 2A state champion boys team and the Sterling Tigers 3A state champion boys team.

Races held last weekend of month March-Sept.
Phillips County Raceway’s 2017 season will see action at the Phillips County Fairgrounds track the last weekend of each month from March through September, as well as races on July 4.
Bellm said this schedule was set up in conjunction with the BST Promotions alliance, which includes races at El Paso County Raceway, I-76 Speedway and Lamar Speedway.
