Nebraska Department of Education state aid figures released
When the Nebraska Department of Education state aid figures were released last week Wauneta-Palisade School came out with a sizeable amount of $81,019.
With approximately 255 enrolled students, the highest enrollment numbers WP has seen in the last ten years, the school can thank its many option students for the increase in state aid.
Superintendent Randy Geier noted that $62,926 of the $81,019 is because of the positive number of option enrollment students at WP. Option enrollment students are students who live outside of Wauneta-Palisade school district, but option to attend WP.
