Four Wauneta-Palisade junior and senior athletes have been placed on the Lincoln Journal Star 2016-2017 Academic All-State list.
    Senior Brody Nordhausen was one of 190 students who are six-time honorees. Nordhausen has been academic all-state in football, basketball and track both years. Nordhausen, WP’s first six-time honoree, is ranked second out of 12 in his class.
    Classmate Greg Gaston has been recognized for basketball and track both years. Gaston is third in his class.
    Juniors Natalie Ramirez and Lanee Nordhausen were also named to the list, both for volleyball, as well as Ramirez for basketball. The pair are ranked first and second, respectively, in their class.
