With the completion of the courtyard project and handicap ramp to the north doors, the latest round of work is finished on the Wauneta Community building.

Work completed on community building

The Village of Wauneta can put another check on its list of projects for the village’s community building.
    Baxter Concrete completed work on the courtyard area and poured concrete for handicapped parking access to the north side of the building last week.
    Village chairman Tony Cribelli gets a big smile on his face when talking about the project.
    “It’s wonderful,” Cribelli said. “It’s designed to be free of charge on a casual basis. Now we just need the weather to accommodate us.”
    After years of looking at the old, cinder block fence, Cribelli and village superintendent Bill Bischoff discussed removing the fence three or four years ago.
    After getting bids for a new fence, the project moved to the back burner as more pressing needs came forward.
