Todd Burpo, author of “Heaven is for Real,” released a new book in September called “God is for Real: And He Longs to Answer Your Most Difficult Questions.”
    The book was co-authored with David Drury, pastor, author and chief of staff for the international headquarters of the Wesleyan Church.
    Unlike the book “Heaven is for Real,” which is a memoir of events that happened, “God is for Real” deals with hard questions about life experiences and provides godly answers for those situations, said Burpo.
    He said he wrote this book because since writing the first book, he has received a multitude of questions that are heavy on people’s hearts today.
    Many struggle with understanding church people and what they believe, said Burpo. They want to know who God is and if He cares, how does He intervene and can I count on Him? This book deals with those questions and more and doesn’t dodge the answers, he continued.
    “We live in a world where God is politically correct. People believe whatever they think God should be. That doesn’t mean it’s the God of Heaven,” Burpo stated.
