The 2017 Chase County museum programs are set and ready to begin May 14.
Through nominations and suggestions from fellow Imperial Quilt Guild members, quilts made by Terry Yost of Imperial will be featured at the May 14 and 21 program.
“We usually choose someone who has done a wide variety of (quilting) techniques,” said Becky Spady, a current member and past president of the Quilt Guild.
Yost’s interest and passion for quilting was handed down from both her grandmother and her husband’s grandmother.
“Lucille Spalding gave me my first sewing machine and helped fire up the sewing bug in me,” said Yost.
This seven-year member of the Quilt Guild has years of experience and technique with a repertoire that includes  but is not limited to french twist, counted cross and embroidery.
