Sunrise Heights Happenings

Red, white and blue

I have some things I think may help my article for Sunrise Heights be a bit more interesting than I’ve done for awhile.

You should see the red, white and blue all around the lobby area and the dining room. Stars, stars, stars, as our preview to the July 4th holiday. Strings of stars in red, blue or silver colors. When it’s time for supper the lights made the stars sparkle. I guess stars really twinkle.

All this is good to get the residents attention.

Than as I write I just came to my room after watching a water fight through the big dining room windows. If we had been outside we would have been wet as that was the purpose of the whole activity. It was hilarious. The kids had water guns, modern plastic ones in pretty colors. They shot a fine stream as they ran all over trying to avoid getting shot, From where I sat with friends we couldn’t see the opponents. Standing against the wall and they had access to the faucet that Ray uses to water the front yard. They just used it once.

The star of the whole event seemed to be Secily Troutman’s little boy, Brody. He entered the area the big kids were fighting with their water guns. Before long, Brody was given a water gun and as little as he is he mastered how to shoot a mean spray of water, pretty fast. Brody is not two-years old yet.
