Series of thefts continue to plague Palisade
A few weeks ago residents in Palisade began noticing things missing from cars and the like. Since that time the Village of Palisade office has heard several reports from residents, each time encouraging them to call the Sheriff’s Office.
According to Village Clerk Kerry Miller it all started when the Village received a call from the Sheriff’s Office approximately four weeks ago that a bag had been dumped in the trees on the east side of town. Miller investigated and found a bag of softball equipment and was able to return it to the owners.
A few days later the Palisade Utility Superintendent Mike Herrin found a wallet at the park with the money taken out. Other reports include bags and items stolen out of unlocked cars. One resident reported a window had been broken from her garage.
