Quick meeting wraps up county business for May

Chase County Commissioners Dave Hogsett, Chuck Vette and Don Weiss, Jr. made quick work of their May 22 agenda.
    The group discussed a road not maintained by the county which Greg Koellner leveled while looking for gravel. Koellner and land owners agreed Koellner could maintain the road in the future.
    The City of Imperial court case with the county over a prisoner’s hospital bill continues to move through the state court system.
    Chase County Attorney Arlan Wine said the amount of the bill is a drop in the bucket compared to what’s at stake. Weiss agreed, saying people across the state are watching this case.
