Occupations therapist joins McCook Community Hospital medical staff

An occupational therapist has joined McCook Community Hospital’s therapy staff. Laren Roper, McCook, who has been an OT for 26 years, will see patients full-time at Community Hospital’s Rehabilitation Center.
    Laren is a certified hand therapist since 2012 who excels at advanced splinting skills. At his previous position in North Platte, he developed an on site hand therapy clinic to increase timeliness of splinting needs and acute hand therapy and to work more closely with the orthopedic and hand surgeons.
    He also provides therapy for work conditioning and evaluates workplace and home ergonomics. Laren has worked in a variety of work settings including skilled nursing, acute care, home health, outpatient, and acute rehab.
