Mercy Meals of Southwest Nebraska will be having its annual bake sale a bit earlier this year. The sale will take place Dec. 9 from 9 a.m. MT/10 a.m. CT to 1 p.m. MT/2 p.m. CT. at the Mercy Meal House located at 112 South Tecumseh Avenue in Wauneta.
    Area churches have/will donate home made goods such as cookies, frozen casseroles, breakfast burritos, pies, cinnamon rolls, dinner rolls, etc. for the event.
    There will be a cookie bar where buyers have a selection of cookies they can choose to fill a decorated plate/box. Pre-wrapped gift plates filled with cookies, candies, etc buyers can give as gifts will also be available.
