Meetings scheduled for possible new hospital

The Chase County Community Hospital (CCCH) will be hosting a town hall meeting tonight (Thursday) at 6:30 p.m. MT/7:30 p.m. CT to inform the public about the potential for a new hospital.
Hospital CEO Steve Lewis said the meeting will cover a variety of topics regarding a new building, including why the hospital as an entity is good for Chase County and the impact that CCCH has had on the county.
“We are the biggest employer in the county right now,” Lewis said.
Another reason this is such a big issue is that there are current building deficiencies, he said. A new building would bring it up to code.
Lewis also said they will go over some economic studies that have been done.
“We don’t have a cost of the building yet, but we will give an estimate on how property taxes will be affected,” Lewis added.
