    The Wauneta-Palisade speech team took third in the Golden Plains division of the RPAC Speech Contest behind first place Wallace and second place Dundy County-Stratton.
    Jean Wach visited Vern and Granta Wach at the Heritage of Wauneta on Sunday.
    Doreen Mohr of Enders visited DeLores Taylor on Saturday afternoon.
    Gary and Dawanna Greeley visited Gary and Jan Spady at Imperial on Saturday evening.

    Illa and Orville Widger went to Kearney Friday to meet their new grandson Zachary.
    Kerry Beldin was named to the fall semester Dean’s List at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.
    Not only did Thursday’s win advance Wauneta-Palisade girls to the district finals, it also put them in the state record books, 81-69.
    Kathy and Richard Fanning spent Sunday with Esther and Frank Novacek and Darlene Haarberg as Sunday visitors.
    Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Bley attended the couple’s Valentines supper at the Hamlet Union Church.
