Fees increase for state park permits

This year, fees for licensed vehicles entering Nebraska state parks will be different for in-state and out-of-state residents, with the visitors from outside Nebraska paying more.
Last year, both groups paid the same—$25 for an annual park permit, $12 for duplicates and $5 for a one-day pass.
Beau Licking, Game & Parks superintendent at Enders Lake Recreation Area and Rock Creek State Park, said this is the first year for different fees for the two groups.
For Nebraskans, rates for 2017 are $30 for an annual permit, $15 for duplicates and $6 for the one-day permit.
Non-Nebraskans will pay $45 for the annual park permit, $22.50 for duplicates and $8 for a one-day pass.
Licking notes the rates haven’t risen for about five years. They went into effect Jan. 1.
