Enders Dam anniversary gathers crowd at Chase County museum

Despite it being Memorial Day weekend, the Chase County Museum in Champion packed the house to learn about the history of Enders Dam.
Chase County Historical Society President Charley Colton said there were 53 people who signed in for the event in Champion on Sunday.
“I thought it went very well,” Colton said.
“There were lots of people in town for the alumni weekend. It was a little better crowd than what we normally have for the Memorial Day weekend,” he said.
Colton said people just kept coming in. The chairs filled up and they had to move more in for new arrivals.
“Everyone seemed to have a good time,” Colton said.
Colton had arranged for a few local people who were involved in the project to bring photos and talk about their experience.
