Chamber’s Santa Saturday festivities this Saturday

Although it has taken longer than usual, winter’s biting cold weather is finally upon us. The National Weather Service based out of North Platte predicts several chances of snow, wind, some sun and clouds the rest of this week.
Saturday’s weather is expected to be on the colder side of the spectrum which will push the Wauneta Chamber’s annual Santa Saturday indoors.
The day will kick off at 10 a.m. MT/11 a.m. CT at the Chateau Theatre with a free movie. Concessions will be available throughout the morning.
After the movie Chamber members will draw winners in the kids’ drawing from the theatre’s stage. Kids will sign up for the drawings as they arrive for the movie Saturday morning.
Once the kids’ drawing is complete, the Wauneta Volunteer Fire Department will team up with the man of the hour visiting from way up North and hand out goody bags.
When all the bags are passed out, Santa Claus will move to the stairwell in the theatre’s entrance for pictures. Kids are encouraged to stay and share their Christmas wishlist and take a picture with old Saint Nicholas.
While pictures are being taken Chamber members will begin drawing the names of winners in the adult drawing back on the stage. When the regular adult drawing is complete, the Wauneta Christmas Trivia grand prize drawings will be pulled from eligible entries. This year’s grand prizes were donated by BWTelcom and include a 32-inch LG TV, two iPad minis and two Echo Dots.
