The program will be presented by Dr. Anil Kumar, MD, PhD Neurologist from Great Plains Neurosciences in North Platte. Dr. Kumar will be assisted by Chastity Orr, BSN, RN.
Dr. Kumar is providing this program as a community service in line with a nationwide awareness movement to educate people on strokes and their symptoms, said Cindy Arterburn, CCH head of nursing.
Arterburn said that anyone can attend, but the presentation is geared toward women, especially those with a history of migraines, a family history of strokes, high blood pressure and older women.
“Women are welcome to come even if its just out of interest. I encourage women to attend this free program to receive the good information that will be provided,” said Arterburn.
