CCCH Foundation hosts Casino Night Gala

Saturday night was filled with excitement and laughter as the Chase County Hospital Foundation hosted a casino-themed fundraiser called “Let’s Have a Gamblin’ Good Night.”
The event was held at the new Chase County Expo building at the fairgrounds. Tickets for the Gala were sold for $125 per person or $1,000 per table of eight.
As attendees arrived in all their finery to enjoy the evening of events, they had the opportunity to purchase tickets for a split-the-pot raffle. Each person arriving with a ticket for the Gala received $500 in “funny money” to gamble with.
The Casino Night Gala began with a meal prepared and served by Jack’s Country Cookin’.
Following the meal, Steve Lewis, Chase County Hospital Administrator, took the stage to welcome everyone and thank contributors to the event, mentioning all sponsors and supporters who gave their time and donations to make the Gala a success.
Lewis then introduced Byron Hust, and announced to the sound of applause that Hust was donating the land for the new Chase County Hospital proposed site, pending the board election outcome.
It was then time to let the games begin.
The first game to fill up with players was the craps table, which was continuously surrounded by participants trying their hand at throwing winning dice combinations.
There was much revelry and “high-fives” as players tried their best to win more chips.
The faces at the Blackjack tables were filled with a combination of concentration and delight as the house was endlessly challenged by players.
The Hold’em Poker table had a slow start, but as the evening progressed, the table filled with more players and the excitement grew.
To add fun and energy to the atmosphere was non-stop, mostly 70’s and 80’s music that had many people moving and singing along with the words while they played. The background music was provided by Night Sounds Entertainment.
A photo booth was active during the night taking pictures of couples in their fancy duds.
