‘Cowboy church’ planning first meeting in February

Chase County residents will have a new church option next month.
Dave Hogsett and Josh Taylor are co-commanders for Imperial’s new “cowboy church.”
The church will have its first gathering at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Imperial Auction Market.
Auction Market owners Preston and Marissa Smith offered the sale barn to Hogsett and Taylor to use.
“Everybody’s welcome,” Hogsett said.
“Everybody,” Taylor said, “come in your chore clothes, hospital scrubs, whatever.”
The nondenominational church will also include a kids’ roping event.
At about 5:30 p.m., there will be a 10 to 15 minute service followed by music.
