A coed softball team from Wauneta, Palisade and McCook spent the weekend playing in the second annual “Catching For Cancer” Softball Tournament.
The Chase County Veterans Memorial three-person golf scramble, rescheduled from an earlier date, will take place July 6-7 at Enders Lake Golf Course.
Randy Styskal, Dave Engel, Gary Schreiner won the Otis Knotwell Memorial Senior Three-Person Scramble June 20. The group finished with rounds 30 and 30 for a final score of 60.

Races have already been held at Alma, Arapahoe, Pleasanton, with scheduled races remaining at Lexington , Pleasanton, Alma and once more at Wauneta Sept. 8.
Motocross riders from across southwest and central Nebraska swarmed to Wauneta Saturday and Sunday for Tri-State Combine Points races at Yucca Hills north of town.
