Yearous, Simpson play in New West All-Star games Saturday

Wauneta-Palisade graduates Cash Yearous and Faith Simpson traveled to Minden this past week to take part in the New West All-Star games.
    Simpson played on the Republican Plains Activities Conference (RPAC) volleyball team Friday.
    The RPAC players started off with a win against the Fort Kearny Conference (FKC), 25-23, 25-17, 25-21. The RPAC took on the Southwest Conference in the championship game after the Southwest Conference beat the Lou Platte Conference 25-23, 25-17, 25-21.
    The RPAC team lost in the championship game 25-19, 25-17.
    Saturday, Simpson took to the court once more against the FKC in the all-star basketball game.
    Though Simpson played well, the RPAC fell 36-58. Simpson scored 19 of the team’s 36 points and she added multiple blocked shots.
    Following the girls’ game the RPAC boys’ basketball team took on FKC.
