Spots still open in fair’s corn hole tourney

There are still some openings for teams wanting to take part in the corn hole tournament at the Chase County Fair.
The one-day, double elimination tournament will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 14, starting at 5 p.m. in the horseshoe pit area, south of the show arena on the fairgrounds. Two-person teams will compete.
Jeff Lempke of Imperial is coordinating the tournament, which will be capped at 30 teams. He said Monday there is still room for a few teams.
Cash prizes will go to the top four tournament teams. Trophies and t-shirts will also go to the champions, donated by Broken Arrow Cellars, he said.
