Broncos run roughshod over Falcons, playoffs beginning

After a 61-0 dismantling of the Hitchcock County Falcons, the Wauneta-Palisade football team will enter the Class D2 playoffs with a 5-3 record.
WP will face North Central Thursday (today) afternoon at Bassett’s Rock County High School beginning at 3 p.m. MT/4 p.m. CT.
“Everyone is excited to still be playing, and ready to prepare in practice this week to play our best game yet come Thursday,” said WP Co-Head Coach Joseph Frecks. “Making the playoffs the past couple of years has been a great experience, and should help us this week even though we are still a fairly young team. The boys are excited for the opportunity to compete for a playoff win.”
North Central is an athletic co-op of Rock County High School and Springview’s Keya Paha High School.
Frecks said the Knights are not an overwhelmingly big team, but they are very physical and aggressive across the board with good team speed.
“It should be a great atmosphere and great game on Thursday afternoon,” Frecks said.
