The halls of Wauneta-Palisade Schools have been in a buzz since the addition of a monthly newsletter created by the freshman class.
Wauneta-Palisade students had an excellent showing at the recent Inter-high scholastic day competition at McCook Community College. WP came home with the first-place title for small schools.
Junior Emily Day finished fifth at last week’s State Speech Championships. Also performing at the event was the Oral Interpretation of Drama team.

Wauneta-Palisade seniors Taylor Hiett and Greg Gaston were crowned queen and king at WP’s prom last Saturday. The evening’s theme was “Gilded,” meaning covered in gold. Prom attendees participated in a promenade on South Tecumseh followed by dinner and a dance at the Wauneta Community Building. After-prom festivities were held at the Wauneta Attendance Center.
