Seniors at Wauneta-Palisade High School will take a critical step in the college preparation process when they participate in a college application event Oct. 20 at the school.

The Wauneta-Palisade Schools’ fight song rang loudly and proudly throughout the streets of Wauneta last Thursday, Sept. 28, during the annual downtown Homecoming pep rally.
The Wauneta-Palisade Schools’ board approved the installation of a new track during the August board meeting. Since approval, wheels have been turning at a fast rate to finish the project before the cold weather sets in. The school concrete work is a total of $25,000 fixes the concrete along the bleachers, fills in the current track and converts the track into the metric system. Once the cement work is complete there will be a half-inch rubber track installed with a polyurethane sealant. Baxter Concrete has been working on the project the last couple of weeks.
