WP FFA has high expectations heading into State FFA Convention April 6-7

Seven teams of Wauneta-Palisade students will be taking part in the upcoming Nebraska State FFA Convention.
    Teams include vet tech, nursery and landscape, livestock management, meats, ag mechanics, farm management and livestock judging.
    The vet tech team of Ashley Knotts, Destiny Beacham, Jayden Ingold and George Lee won its Feb. 28 competition. Knotts finished third.
    Nursery and landscape finished second that same day. Greg Gaston, Ben Anderjaska, Austen Rozelle and Tucker Boos competed for WP. For the second year in a row, Gaston placed second due to the tiebreaker.
    The livestock management team placed third on the 28th. Knotts placed first in the swine division. Also taking part were Reagan Skow, Jeimy Martinez, Lee and Beacham.
    For the first time ever, WP put together a meats team. The group earned a red ribbon and trip to state. Kenna Blackman received a blue ribbon and Skow a white ribbon. Rounding out the team were Ingold and Luke Blackman.
