The Wauneta-Palisade FFA chapter wrapped up its year with a banquet Tuesday, April 24 in the Wauneta Attendance Center Gym.
    Chapter members gave tours of the new greenhouse prior to the start of the banquet.
    Advisor Rod Gaston said everyone was excited about the venture.
    The featured speakers were husband and wife, Tom Vickers and Jerda Garey Vickers.
    The pair told the story of “two country kids” and the opportunities and challenges they faced.
    This year’s degrees were awarded and the season was recapped with state convention qualifiers receiving their ribbons and awards.
    Towards the end of the meeting this year’s officers installed the officers for the coming year. George Lee will be the chapter’s 2018-2019 president, Austen Rozelle the vice president, Daniel Christensen the secretary, Michaela Dukes the treasurer, Ben Anderjaska the reporter and Caid Doetker the sentinel.
