Sandman, Yearous and Burton selected for Girls State

Payton Yearous and Haylee Sandman of Wauneta, Nebraska and Faith Burton of Palisade, Nebraska have been selected to attend the 2020 session of the American Legion Auxiliary Cornhusker Girls State to be held May 31–June 6, 2020 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
    Their selection was based on interviews held in February.
    Yearous, Sandman and Burton will study local, county and state government process in this nonpartisan political learning experience. Every spring the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State Program provides approximately 25,000 young women with a hands on educational opportunity designed to instruct tomorrow’s leaders in the privileges and duties of responsible citizenship.
