Board hikes meal prices, OKs this year’s calendar
By Tom Pantera The Wauneta Breeze
With summer vacation more than half over, the Wauneta-Palisade School Board Monday approved a hike in meal prices and the coming year’s school calendar.
The Board voted an across-the-board increase of a dime in breakfast and lunch prices.
Breakfast will now cost $2; lunches for pre-kindergarten to grade 5 will be $2.65; for grades above that $3; and for adults, $3.75.
Under the coming year’s calendar, also approved Monday, the first day of school will be Aug. 22 and the first day of pre-school Aug. 26.
