Oscar Martin Stretch
Oscar Martin Stretch was born in Nebraska, the son of Ira Martin Stretch and Flora. He graduated from High School in 1945, and in 1946 was sworn in to the Air Force where he took flight training in many states across the U.S. After retiring he met and married Eunice Graves in Hamlet. They had four daughters; Beverly, Wanda, Lanelle, Teresa and three sons Lyle, Vernon and Jerry.
He worked as a farmer for 15 years in Nebraska, before moving to Colorado to become an electrician at Empire Electric and then got a job at IBM for 25 years. His hobby was working on Model T’s.
He is survived by one sister Lola; his children Wanda and husband Bill of Longmont, Teresa and husband Stephen of Centralia, IL, Lyle Stretch, Vernon Stretch, Jerry Stretch all of Longmont; his grandchildren Brandon and Leah of Longmont, Amber and Derrick of Centralia, IL and his great grandchildren Brooklyn, Taylor, Leland, Nick and Seth.
