Judy Brickey RN, CRNI, 75, of Citrus Heights, California passed away peacefully in her home on Jan. 1, 2019.
    Judith Elaine Stock was born the oldest of four daughters on Feb. 7, 1943 in Imperial, Nebraska to the late Harlan and Alice (Sweet) Stock formerly of Wauneta, Nebraska.  
    Self-proclaimed and lovingly referred to as the “IV Queen” for her ability to get a good ‘stick’ on anyone, she infused everyone she met with a firm handshake, a warm smile and her love of nursing and people.
    She impacted hundreds of colleagues, health care consumers and friends throughout Northern California with her knowledge and passion for service to humankind.
    After 50 plus successful and devoted years, Judy retired from nursing in July 2016.
    Judy’s life was centered on Christ, her children, caring for people and Nebraska football.
    Judy is preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her children Caryl Medieros and husband Lance; Christopher Durst; Laura Durst all in Sacramento, California; Yvette Penfold and husband John, in Rocklin, California; Elizabeth Tennial; and Kevin Durst, both also in Sacramento, California; sisters Carole Wooley in Elk Grove, California; Jo Ann Stock in McCook, Nebraska; and Nancy Sayles and husband Steve, in Kearney, Nebraska; 14 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
