Thomas Liebig, a longtime resident of Wauneta, passed away early Tuesday morning, Aug. 27, 2019 at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, Nebraska. He was 69 years of age.
    Survivors include mother Joanne Liebig of Wauneta, Nebraska; brother Paul Liebig and wife, Jan of Kearney, Nebraska; sisters Mary Kay Lauher and husband Forrest of Schulenburg, Texas and Rosanne Benzel and husband  Bill of Waynesville, Missouri.
    A rosary will be recited on Friday evening, Aug. 30, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. MT at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wauneta with Father Lothar Gilde leading.
    A funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. MT, Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wauneta with Father Lothar Gilde celebrating.
    Visitation will be Friday afternoon, Aug. 30, 2019 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. MT at the funeral home in Wauneta.
    A memorial has been established to the Liebig Family for future designation.
